Planning & Zoning Forms

The Planning & Zoning Division is responsible for long-range and comprehensive planning; current or neighborhood and project planning; maintenance and administration of the City's zoning code, which includes administration of sign permits and the Certificate of Use program.

Mission
To plan and facilitate quality development and redevelopment, promote neighborhood sustainability, and facilitate the enhancement of the human and natural environment of the City.

Notice for Submittals – January 2019

The City Commission recently adopted amendments to the Land Development Code related to the submittal requirements for development plan applications, development review procedures, public notification and the Planning & Zoning fee schedule. Changes were also made to the Certificate of Use review process. Prior to submission of any development plan application to the City, it is recommended you contact City planning staff at 954-480-4206 to confirm the requirements for submittal.

Applicants are also reminded they are REQUIRED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT to submit any development plan application. If the application is not sufficient for review, the application may not be accepted.
