The Center for Active Aging provides transportation services for individuals 60 years of age and older who reside in northeast Broward County to the Center for special programs and activities, for congregate meals, to medical and social service agencies, and for grocery shopping trips.

Our bus drivers are trained to assist physically or mentally handicapped elderly entering or exiting vehicles. Our buses are capable of accommodating walkers and wheelchairs and our drivers will escort our passengers, from point of pick-up through entry, as well as exit to drop-off point, to assure their safety and well-being. Additional information about these services can be obtained by calling our Transportation Manager at (954) 480-4442.

Our Transportation team also coordinates transportation services for the City of Deerfield Beach community bus shuttle. This service is provided in conjunction with Broward County Transit and provides transportation services to individuals of all ages in Deerfield Beach. We run two fixed routes, Express I and Express II, that connect with several Broward County Transit routes. For accessibility purposes, stops are made to and from low-income housing facilities, senior communities, grocery stores, shopping centers, medical complexes, City Hall and the Center, etc. You can view route and timetable information by downloading the attached pdf files or by visiting the Broward County Transit website.

Our Transportation team also provides transportation services for City of Deerfield Beach after-school programming and special events.
