  • City Hall 
    • All residents and visitors entering a city facility, currently by appointment only, will be required to adhere to temperature checks upon entering beginning Monday, June 1, 2020.
  • Financial Services
    • The Cashier’s Office, Utility Billing, and Parking Enforcement are now taking online payments, mail-in payments, or use of the dropbox outside the main entrance of City Hall from the parking lot.

  • Parks and Recreational Facilities - All Parks & Recreation inquiries can be emailed to web.parks@dfb.city.
    • Several parks will reopen from dawn to dusk daily for walking, running, skating, cycling, or general exercise, as generally permitted at the park. They include Constitution Park, Cornerstone Park, Branhilda Richardson Knowles Park, North Crystal Heights, Central Crystal Heights, South Crystal Heights, Deer Run Park, Ecidar Park, Johnie McKeithen Park, Mayo Howard Park, Oveta McKeithen, Pastor Willie James Ford Sr. Linear Park, Pioneer Park, Riverglen Park, Sullivan Park, Tennis Center at Pioneer Park, Trailhead Park, Trailhead Linear Park, Villages of Hillsboro Park, SE 15 Street Park, and SE 19 Street Park (playgrounds, pavilions, and structures remain closed).  All playgrounds and park structures are off-limits and organized, and recreational programs and events continue to be suspended. Social gatherings of groups of more than 10 people continue to be prohibited. Social/physical distancing of six feet continues to be required. Face masks are recommended at all times and required when providing essential services or visiting essential businesses. All parks will be heavily monitored by City staff and the Broward Sherrif’s Office. Any facility or park not listed in this communication indicates that it remains closed.
    • Deerfield Beach Tennis Center, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday; Constitution Tennis Courts, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and other park tennis courts, dusk to dawn. Courts are limited to a maximum of four people on the court (doubles) at any one time
    • The International Fishing Pier will open to the general public from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily for fishing only. Social distancing of a minimum of 10 feet between anglers must be maintained. Visitors are encouraged to pre-register to fish at the pier using the City’s daily online/call-in registration system. Fishing sessions shall be limited to four hours, with each session subject to a maximum of 25 patrons on the Pier at a time. Patrons fishing at the International Fishing Pier shall fully comply with the CDC’s social distancing guidelines and face coverings shall be worn on the Pier at all times.
    • Beaches are open to picnicking, sunbathing, sitting or lying on the beach. Umbrellas, canopies, chairs, loungers, and coolers are also permitted. Certain restrictions outlined in the County’s Emergency Order (Attachment 15) apply. Group or organized sports, such as volleyball, footvolley, soccer or football are not allowed; nor are group gatherings or events of more than 10 people. Beachgoers must maintain social distancing, including while in the water, except between members of the same household or group. Facial coverings must be worn when social distancing cannot be maintained, entering restrooms, and visiting beach concessions. Equipment offered by concessionaires or beachfront hotels (e.g. chairs, loungers, bicycles) must be sanitized between each customer rental. Changing rooms, picnic pavilions, playgrounds and exercise equipment remain closed. (Note: Deerfield Beach public parking areas will be open and allowed.)
    • The Pioneer Park Boat Ramp will open to the general public, 24 hours a day, under the circumstances and subject to the conditions and guidelines in Attachment 9 of County Emergency Order 20-12, which include the following:
      • Only one boat per launch ramp at a time is permitted.
      • No gathering of more than 10 people is permitted at any time including during boat launch, during on-water time, and when removing the boat from the water, subject to further restrictions as provided below.
      • In accordance with CDC Guidelines, in addition to practicing social distancing, launching venue staff, as well as customers, shall utilize personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, facial coverings and gloves in connection with use of marinas, boat docks, ramps, and other launching venues.
    • Cemetery services are available by appointment only at 954-571-2672.
  • Planning Services - The Planning, Code, and Building divisions are limiting the number of customers occupying the lobby at any given time due to social distancing guidelines.     • All residential solid waste and recycling collections continue as normal until further notice.
    • The Drop-Off Center is open.

    • Payments can be made by phone, online, mail, or by use of the dropbox outside the main entrance of City Hall from the parking lot.
  • Economic Development / CRA
    • Economic Development is helping local businesses with disaster funding applications and business assistance by phone.  To schedule an appointment or for inquiries, please call 954-857-9793.
  • Community Development 
    • Community Development is not taking any new grant applications at this time. Appointments are available for those with existing applications. Please call 954-480-6420 for all inquiries, or email communitydevelopment2@dfb.city.
  • Center for Active Aging - For more information and referral services, please contact 954-480-4449.
    • The Center for Active Aging is closed until further notice. Effective Tuesday, March 31, 2020, both DBE I & II, will be modified until further notice. A temporary revised schedule for essential needs transportation is operating Monday through Friday from 8 am - 1 pm.
    • Counseling services and meal deliveries are still taking place as needed.
  • Environmental Services 
    • Water and Waste Water Services are operating normally.
