Mayor, Bill Ganz
The Honorable Bill Ganz was elected to serve as Mayor of Deerfield Beach in March 2017, after having served eight years as the District Four Commissioner.
Prior to being elected to the office of the Mayor, Mr. Ganz served as a founding member of the West Deerfield Beach Community Alliance. He was on the Deerfield Beach Code Enforcement Board, member of the Deerfield Beach Ad Hoc Telecommunications Committee, and he served as both President and Vice President of the Deer Isle Homeowner’s Association.
As an elected official he has served as a voting member of the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization and on the Broward County Ethics Commission. He currently serves on the Broward County Planning Council.
The Mayor was instrumental in the creation of the Education Advisory Board of Deerfield Beach. This group was created to help tackle the issue of underperforming schools in the city. The work and partnership of the City, board, and schools are seeing results as the local school grades are improving. There is still more work to be done, but the Mayor is making education a major priority for the current administration.
Mayor Ganz is a native Floridian and a Deerfield Beach resident since 1997. The Mayor attended Broward Community College and Florida State University. When he is not busy performing City government duties, he works as an Information Technology Business Analyst at ComplyRight, Inc., a leading B2B marketing company specializing in Human Resources. During football season, Mayor Ganz works for the National Football League as part of the Injury Video Review Team for Miami Dolphins games.
Mayor Bill Ganz is married to wife Cristina and they have two daughters, Danielle and Sara.
